Pre-Fall Part Deux: Hot and Heavy Hitters

I'll make this "Part 2" on Pre-Fall brief because there really isn't much I need to say; it's all in the visuals. Fashion porn, if you will. Well. When Proenza, Wang, and Band of Outsiders are concerned.
If you ask me.

Pre-Fall is hot. And honestly, my collection is vast, but here's a taste of what's caught my attention.

Peep Below.

Proenza Schouler

Alexander Wang

Band of Outsiders

Be still my heart.

Mmk. Ta-Ta for now.

Layer Up!

Single digit temps call for 5+ layers.
And all for a 5 minute coffee run.

They also call for iPhone snaps too apparently.
Mmk, see ya!

Drawing: Jam to the Beat

I know, I know. I'm interrupting a two-parter from yesterday but man! I have so many drawings laying around my joint. Want any?

Let's give one life and breath on the internet.
Or as much as the internet can give.

Generally when I make a drawing, I use a slew few sources. I don't remember all of the images I pulled for this one but I definitely grabbed my palette from Tommy Ton's snap above.

2011
Marker, Charcoal, Gesso on Paper

I was playing with transparency and wanted to draw, cover, and redraw elements of the drawing. This forced some of the color to pull back, letting some of the neons to forward.
A little trickery if you will.

And that's it!
Hope you enjoyed this little break. Part 2 up next!

Cheers ma dears.

Eff Winter. Pre-Fall Part 1

Spring hasn't even sprung and I am obsessed with shit happening for Pre-Fall.
Perhaps Boston's frigid temps have me dreaming of autumnal weather but seriously, I can not wait to snatch up this stuff for now.

Besides, Boston hardly even sees a Spring.

Let's start with the ever-so-wearable Lim.

Via style.com

I mean, is this shit not right in the vein of what I was saying here? Yah. I know. It totally is.
It's comic!

Holy t-shirt Batman. Or, something. At any rate, I need all of the above.

Next, the wearable DVF. This styling has caught my eye big time

I am in love with this 60's darling meets a rocker punk mish mash. Such a welcomed edge.

Hell yes please.

Scope out the collections on style.com. There's too much happening.

I've got more quick snaps comin' your way
In case you can't be bothered to click on through. Which is lame. Do it.

Cheers!

My Rig: I'm a Joke

I'm not one to make resolutions. I mean, why set myself up for disappointment? I'm a fickle bird and I sure rock the indecisive trait. But I digress.

Anywho. One thing I actually have decided (a decision!) to accomplish this year is to be more playful and creative with my daily rigs.

Ahem. And to blog more...

Peep some proof below.

Yes. I'm a fool. But man, getting dressed should be fun! And damn it, I will have fun
Oh hey. Also. Welcome to my bedroom.

For me, a t-shirt under an unexpected piece like say, this silk blouse, can really take the seriousness out of an outfit. Uh, and make it more comfortable. Duh.

And so can some legit drop crotch waxed denim.

Rig Deets: T-shirt and Blouse: Madewell, Jeans: Allsaints, Belts: H&M, Boots: Madewell, Bag: Kate Spade X Emily Current and Merrit Elliot, Watch: Michael Kors

And that's it. It's a start, right? I mean, hopefully you'll see some creativity and play evolve here this year.

If not.
Don't hold that shit against me.
I don't make resolutions, remember?

Plus, evolution is a frickin' slow process.

Cheers dears!

Holy Moly, it's Twenty-Twelve

And I haven't even posted about my Xmas gifts yet!

Well, lemme remedy that right here and now because some loverlies gifted me with some loverly gifts and I think they're worthy of an internet share.
I received a healthy handful of wonderful gifts this year last year, but I'm going to post a few that two ladies dearest to my heart gave to me.

My Dahling sister had mailed me a charming "Massachusetts" pendant necklace back in September for my birthday and I fell in love with it. I was thrilled to receive this "Oregon" one over Christmas. I hope to live in more states so I can collect a slew of these Kris Nations pieces (I've got my eye on you New York)!

Marissa is quite the DIY, crafty, I-make-things-all-the-time queen. So, needless to say, I was looking forward to untying her gifts to me.

Her projects never cease to amaze me and I am so lucky she was inspired to make this tie inspired by a Hill-Side one we were checking out! Hers rocks way harder though. I mean, it's wool felt. I'll have an outfit post with it soon!

She also gave me the greatest sketchbook. Ever.

Seriously.
I want to wear it.
Like, in skirt form?

I just can't get over the cover.

She also reached out to the very talented Carl for another gift. (I know, what? She gave me way too much.)
Anyway, he made this beautiful braided leather bracelet.

I had been coveting the arms of my nearest and dearest for a couple of years since they ALL had one on their wrist. Well, now I'm one of the cool kids. A branded one, no less.

Am I lucky, or what?

Cheers!
